If you need repeat contraceptive pills and have ever had them from your GP, please contact your GP surgery who may be able to issue you with a repeat prescription.
COVID-19 UPDATE FOR PATIENTS – January 2021
Due to the new lockdown (January 2021) we are offering a reduced contraception service, this is to keep staff and patients safe from the spread of COVID-19. We will be able to continue to offer the contraceptive Pill (COC and POP) and the Depo-Provera/Sayana Press and limited coil/implant procedures.
Each patient who makes an enquiry will be triaged by a specialist nurse and placed on a waiting list for a phone consultation. The wait for a phone consultation may be between 2- 6 weeks (depending on what you require) and your patience is appreciated.
At the present time there will be no routine coil/ implant procedures and advice on accessing contraception during a pandemic can be found by clicking here.
It’s important to read the following information from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health before you make your enquiry (click here for advice) as it may answer your query and advise you that you can use your current method for an extended period of time.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you and we hope you understand how important it is that we only see patients in our service where absolutely necessary during this pandemic, the health of our patients and staff is paramount.
